One things you`ll hear me emphasize time after time is that you don’t win at this game by pushing, you win by attracting, and nothing is more attractive than being in complete alignment with your goals. Build the world you want to live in, and the right people will follow.
So, are your family and friends the "right people"? Maybe. An easy way to find out is to watch their eyes when you bring up the possibility of recruiting them. Is there fire there, or are they checked out, like they`d rather be somewhere else?
Remember that it’s called ‘network’ marketing for a reason: you have to build a network of capable, motivated individuals. The crucial distinction, the one that will save you energy for more constructive things, is that it doesn’t mean you have to build strong individuals. In this business, like attracts like. If you`re spending lots of time trying to pull in friends and family just because they`re there, or you`re endlessly propping up associates who can`t stand on their own, then one of two things will happen: you will fail, or you will change your focus. If you`re reading this article, the latter outcome is more likely.
